What are the applicable standards?
The most advanced state-of-art in racking inspections is gathered in the standard EN 15635 “Steel static storage systems. Application and maintenance of storage equipment”.
The norm EN 15635 establishes that storage equipments have to be inspected at least once every 12 months by a qualified and expert person.
NOEGA Systems applies its own inspection procedures following the instructions given in the UNE-EN 15635 standard.
In addition, the racks as work equipment are subject to compliance with the current occupational safety regulations:
- NTP 852 "Storage in metal racks" of the Instituto Nacional de Seguridad de Higiene en el Trabajo.
- RD 486 / 1997 "Minimum provisions for health and safety at work".
- RD 1215 / 1997 "Minimum health and safety provisions for the use of work equipment".
